Things Are Starting To Get Uncomfortable

Well, now that I have a 20lb belly, things are starting to not feel great. He moves around like crazy but he's still really low. Even with him that low, my ribs feel like they're crushing all.the.time.

I was having a hard time breathing so I went to the doctor and found out I have Acute Bronchitis. The only treatment for it was an inhaler. So far it's helped but it doesn't relieve the pain I have on the side of my ribs. It feels like they might be cracked but there's not much that can be done about it anyway. Sometimes, I feel like this baby is like Bella's baby in the Twilight Series, "Breaking Dawn" and trying to crawl his way out.

I love feeling him kick me and luckily none of that is uncomfortable. Just the breathing/rib thing and it keeps me up at night. I've finally given in to taking a Tylenol here and there to relieve the pain. I feel bad drugging my boy up but Momma needs some sleep.

Oh well, only a few more weeks to go.

22 Week Appointment

So I finally popped (and of course have no pictures of it. I've banned camera's in my presence) and I went to my routine 22 week appointment. Everything with the baby is fine but I found out I've gained......... 20 POUNDS!!!!!!!!! What???? Where??? It's still all in my belly/chest. Oh well. Dr. C said it wasn't a big deal but to make sure I stuck to a pound a week from now on.

In other news, my linea negra is there. Ew I almost cried. No stretch marks yet though. And my belly button is half in and half out. Not attractive....

Oh the joys right?

The Finished Nursery

Yay it's finally done. I say finally but it really didn't take long. Kevin did a good job getting to it right away and finishing it in a timely manner!

Here are some pics:

What We Did:

We painted the bottom 3/4 of the room Sherwin Williams- Neutral Ground and the top 1/4 and ceiling Sherwin Williams- Mindful Gray. After we (and when I say we, I mean Kevin) painted, Kevin and his dad installed the flat chair rail that was painted white.

Furniture-
Straight Back 3 piece Crib Collection by Rockland (Crib, Changer, Dresser)- JCPenney ($750)
                - Glider- Ashley Furniture ($500)
-Bookshelf- Target (Previously used in our den)
                - Closet Storage- Target ($20 ea +$6 per bin)

Other Details-
Lamp- Target (Given to us by Kevin's mom)
Bedding- Pieced together. Quilt made by Kevin's mom, bumper and crib skirt from BBB,
           Name Sign- Kevin's mom made
Alphabet letters- AC Moore and Craftcuts.com
            Roman Shades- JC Penney

I'm so thrilled with the way it turned out. I still feel like it will be very easy to  make girly if we have another child and it's a girl. I go into the nursery all the time and just feel at peace with everything while in there. There are a few more touches we'll be doing. I'll post pictures of the final product once it's done!

Ordered our furniture!

Kevin's mom and dad graciously offered to order our nursery furniture for us. We looked all around and finally settled on a set from JC Penney. It comes with the crib, changer, and dresser. We added the bed rails that will convert the crib to a full sized bed eventually.

Here's what we ordered.
We ordered them all in the Chocolate color which is what the crib and changer are shown in currently. How exciting!!!

Some animal love

Taking a break from baby talk, I'll give you some animal love. Our animals definitely know something is up with me but they're taking it like champs. We're trying to show them extra love too. For your viewing pleasure.

Enjoy!

Baby Boy Shopping....

When you wait until you find out the sex to start your shopping, you get this....

These were just my bags, these didn't include Grandma's stuff......

18 Week Ultrasound....

This was the BIG ultrasound. The one that would *hopefully* tell us if we're having a boy or a girl, but most importantly, another one proving our little sweet pea is still on track and doing well. Well the baby is doing great. Now on to the more exciting news...... it's a BOY!!!!!!!! We are sooo thrilled!

I am already completely in love with our little man. His name will be Nathan Scott. Nathan for no real reason. Kevin and I just really like the name. We like that it can be shortened to Nate also. Scott is Kevin's middle name so that's why we chose that. Our little man is doing well. Kevin asked if we can get him a pair of hockey skates. I said maybe we should wait until he's 3 or so.

I would have been happy either way but I truly wanted a boy first. We are just so excited!!!! Only 22 more weeks or so until we can meet him and hold him.

Let the BOY shopping begin!!!!
